Biography:
The Persuaders were founded in Halifax, NS in the spring of 1989. Hard work and a deep affection for their craft has made them one of the most popular bands in Metro and celebrated their 20th anniversary with the release of their single Sheba and a show at The Shore Club April 25th 2009.
In 1998, the band released The Persuaders Live At The Shore Club. It was an instant success, selling out immediately. This prompted them to embark on a full-length studio project. In May 2001, they appeared on Halifax Plugged In II a compilation CD of ten recording Halifax bands produced by 2003 ECMA nominated Denmark Productions. In 2004, the band released their first full-length studio album The Persuaders, debuting at number nine on the local top ten.
The band is most well known as a versatile cover band and continues to do about 75 shows a year.
