From 1964 to 1968, one of the premier rock quartets in NS were "The Ghost Squad" from Yarmouth, N.S.  The played regurlarly throughout SW Nova and  took part in several Nova Scotia Battle-of-the-Bands, taking Top Band in 1967 at the comptition held in Kentville, N.S.  They covered virtually the full range of rock and are still remembered for their trademark version of 96 Tears which they often extended to 20 minutes or more to the delight of their many fans.
